Welcome to The Heart of Bellevue
We are part of the Toastmaster International Organization. It's really simple. Communication and Leadership skills can be learned. It takes practice. That's what Toastmasters is all about...practice. We meet the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month at 600 108th Ave NE, Bellevue, WA 98004 on the 9th floor conference room. Thank you HNTB for hosting! How about a little Toastmasters history? In October 1924, a group of men assembled by Dr. Ralph C. Smedley met in the basement of the YMCA in Santa Ana, California, U.S.A., forming a club “to afford practice and training in the art of public speaking and in presiding over meetings, and to promote sociability and good fellowship among its members.” The group took the name “Toastmasters.” Today Toastmasters International has over 10,500 clubs and more than 200,000 members in approximately 90 countries. It is the undisputed world leader in public speaking training!
